Private Robert Wilfred Basil Bower is buried in Tincourt New British Cemetery, near Peronne in France. He died from wounds received while carrying a wounded comrade.
Private Bower had enlisted in February 1916 and was sent abroad a year later. He was a hairdresser who trained in Gainsborough and then moved to Sheffield.
