He died from his wounds after the Battle of Loos on the 26th September 1915. He was 20 years old.
Lt. George Leonard Marshall is buried in Sailly-
He is named on Queen Elizabeth Grammar School Roll of Honour and on the St. John the Divine War Memorial.
Lt. Marshall won a scholarship to London University. He was studying there when War broke out.
