Private Belton was killed in action on the 21st August 1915. He was 28 years old.
He is buried in the Shell Green Cemetery, Gallipoli, and was remembered
on the Primitive Methodist Church War Memorial.
Private Belton worked for Mr Curtis, a plumber, in Gainsborough and moved to Australia in 1913.
