Engine Room Artificer Walter Cecil Alborn served on H.M.S. ‘Black Prince.’
He died on the 31st of May 1916 in the Jutland Naval. battle. Walter was 25 years old.
Walter Cecil Alborn joined the Royal Navy in 1913 as an Engine Room Artificer. He has no known grave and is remembered on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial and the Primitive Methodist War Memorial.
He trained as a fitter at Marshall’s, and before joining the Royal Navy, he was working for David Brown & Sons Ltd., at Huddersfield.
